Are we a good fit?

I am often asked a number of similar questions when booking these events, so I have created a FAQs page to help answer some of the most common questions as efficiently as possible.

HOW LONG DO YOU ARRIVE BEFORE?

I always try to arrive an hour before my start time. This gives me enough time to set up and allow for any delays.

DO YOU BRING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes! My equipment has been fully PAT tested and the certificate for this is available on request.

CAN WE REQUEST SONGS?

Yes! Please feel free to request your ceremony songs and I will do my best to accommodate this. Usually for other sets, such as the reception drinks or wedding breakfast, I will choose the set list based on what I think is suitable at the time and from your preferences of artists.

DO YOU TRAVEL ALL OVER THE UK?

Absolutely! I travel all across the UK. If the destination is further than 2.5 hours from where I am based, then additional charges may apply.

CAN I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING/EVENT ABROAD?

Of course you can! I have lots of experience with destination weddings and events. Prices are bespoke and all travel, hospitality and accommodation expenses will need to be covered.

DO YOU HAVE PERSONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE?

Yes, I have a valid PLI Certificate through the Musicians Union which is available upon request if your venue has asked for this.

DO YOU PLAY AN INSTRUMENT?

I do! I primarily accompany myself with acoustic guitar, however, if the songs you have requested are piano based or those I am unable to play then I have an extensive repertoire of songs with backing tracks.

If you have booked an all day wedding I will perform a mixture of live acoustic guitar and backing tracks.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

Once everything is confirmed, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is to be paid 30 days before your wedding / event. If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours I unfortunately cannot hold the date any longer for you.

WHAT EXPENSES DO WE NEED TO COVER?

I will require travel expenses to be covered which are charged at the recommended government rate per mile. Accommodation will need to be covered if your destination is more than 2.5 hours away from me, I am based in Leicestershire.

If you have booked me for an all day wedding then I will require food and beverages to be provided. Please enquire regarding destination wedding/event expenses.

WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL OUR BOOKING?

Your deposit is non-refundable due to high demand and often I get enquiries for the same date so I would have had to turn people away for your date. If you need to postpone your wedding/event then of course this deposit will be transferred over to the new date at no extra charge (subject to availability).
